Steve Garvey, the Republican Senate candidate running for the seat of the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, is calling on Soros-backed Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón to prosecute those responsible for last week’s violence outside a prominent Jewish synagogue in Hollywood.
“What happened is outrageous,” Garvey told Fox News Digital in a video call from the team’s van during a week-long trip to Israel. “Again, this is literally a hate crime, and I call on Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón to prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law.”

“I think in many ways the leadership within the university and at the district attorney’s office failed to use these opportunities as a deterrent by prosecuting people who were literally breaking the law and disrupting the university,” Garvey added.

“I said at the beginning of my campaign that I would go wherever the people wanted me to go to get a better understanding of the situation,” Garvey said.
During his visit, Garvey visited families of Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas, toured sites attacked by Hamas after the October 7 massacre, and met with Israeli military officials.

Garvey also bragged about winning over new voters who had previously voted for Schiff.
“At an event in Tel Aviv I met Samara Schiff who lives in Adam Schiff’s district. She’s a Jewish lawyer and longtime Democrat supporter. She voted for Adam in past elections and is voting for me this time,” Garvey posted on X.

Garvey’s visit came shortly after violence broke out last week outside the Adas Torah synagogue on Pico Boulevard, drawing condemnation from prominent Democrats including President Biden, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The event was one of many organized by anti-Israel protesters in recent months.
