Ex-NFL player Antonio Brown sought for attempted murder charge: report

Tampa, Florida – Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is currently a person of interest in an attempted murder case stemming from a celebrity boxing match in Miami last month.

According to reports from a former NFL star and a video that circulated on social media, authorities are looking for Brown following an altercation involving several individuals at a boxing event hosted by popular streamer Adinros on May 16.

The video shows Brown brandishing a black pistol while apparently pursuing someone. Gunshots can be heard shortly thereafter. Other footage captured Brown reaching behind him before being escorted from the venue by police officers.

Reports indicate that previous players at the event were detained for several hours. Reports on social media suggested that Brown claimed he was “jumped” by individuals attempting to steal a valuable item, which led to physical confrontations.

According to the video, Brown allegedly hit a man, took the weapon from security, and charged at him. Police stated that recordings on their phones captured the sound of two gunshots.

The victim was reportedly grazed by a bullet near his neck and was hospitalized. The warrant indicates that a struggle ensued over the weapon until law enforcement arrived on the scene. The victim claimed to have known Brown since 2022.

Brown had a successful stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018, being recognized as one of the league’s top players after leading in receiving yards twice. However, his career ultimately faced challenges due to various personal and professional issues, including the termination of his contract with the Oakland Raiders before the 2019 season.

He played his final NFL seasons with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with his career concluding infamously when he removed his jersey and gear mid-game. Shortly afterward, he announced his retirement.
