Ex-NFL player Ryan Clark says he will never respect President Trump but praises Obama administration for ‘no scandals’

Former NFL player Ryan Clark released a video claiming that President Donald Trump had a term filled with divisiveness and bigotry, while President Barack Obama was graceful and scandal-free.

A video posted on Mr. Clark's He's the president. I respect him and his office.” Like that. “

The former ESPN host and current Fanatics host said he received a lot of backlash from the “community” for his post and began detailing why he hates President Trump.

Clark argued in his book video After Trump was elected, his eldest daughter woke up at 7 a.m. to lie in bed with her grandmother and cry. He likened this to the many Kamala Harris supporters who felt “sad” and “depressed” after Trump's victory.

He also compared Trump's time in office to that of President Obama, saying that Obama represented the United States with “class, grace, elegance and courtesy.”

He added that while Obama had “no scandals” and no felonies, Trump ran his campaign and presidency based on bigotry and hatred.

Clark concluded by saying that he “will never” respect Trump, but that he respects the office of president.

Many commenters found Clark's own video divisive, even though he made it clear he had no intention of doing so. Especially since the former athlete accused Trump in the caption of “empowering” bigotry when he took office.

“After eight years on behalf of the class, President Obama decided that this country needed to 'make great again,'” Clark said. “Bigotry is now empowered directly from the Oval Office. ” he added.

But the former Pittsburgh Steeler revealed that “Trump supporters of all colors” have told him he's wrong about the president.

He said he was not optimistic but would try to avoid conflict. Many readers objected to this.

“I cannot stress this enough: Obama was the most divisive president in history. The worst of the worst,” one response read. said.

Another reader tried point out Mr. Clark is hypocritical in making disparaging claims about Mr. Trump while saying he himself has no intention of confronting him.

Clark's tactic of rattling off claims about the president without context or counterargument has become a go-to for many of his critics.

Referring to his own felonies and impeachment in this way is less a sign that Clark truly understands his political opponents than a signal that he is siding with his supporters. It seems.
