He has been plagued by injuries since 2015 due to an increase in ankle and groin injuries. Then in 2016, Lacy injured his ankle again midway through the season and was placed on injured reserve.
Lacey played in only five games that year, and the Packers did not extend him to a long-term contract after his fourth season on the rookie contract.
During that time, Lacey was dealing with weight issues as teams wanted him to weigh under 250 pounds, including the team that wanted to sign him in free agency. The Packers and Minnesota Vikings wanted to sign him to a one-year deal, but he ultimately signed with the Seahawks, where he met the weight requirement.
However, Seattle's backfield was crowded in 2017, with Lacy appearing in just nine games (three starts) and gaining 179 yards and no touchdowns.
