Ex-Warriors part-owner sounds off on Steve Kerr’s support for Harvard

Steve Kerr’s Harvard support was not going well with his former colleagues.

On Tuesday night, Kerr supported Ivy League University, now the target of President Donald Trump, for several reasons, including the international student registration process, anti-Semitism on campus and tax-free status.

The Trump administration has frozen a $2.2 billion multi-year grant and a $60 million multi-year agreement after Harvard refused to comply with its demands.

But former Warriors part-owner Chamas Parihapitiya reverberated over the 11-year Warriors coach in scotch post on Friday.

“Steve Kerr is an unfortunate Roubaix. He is blindly protected. 1) He is a company with a balance sheet of $53 billion and pretends to be non-profit,” Parihapitiya wrote to X. Fester’s unchecked semitism continued to such a degree that it led to the president’s ouster because it was incapable of dealing with it.

“Usually, when I’m an executive at a company with fairness talks about topics beyond knowledge and makes it clear that they’re stupid, I usually fire them or sell my fairness. Luckily, I’ve already sold all the equity of last year’s Warriors at a high rate.

Palihapitiya, 48, an early Facebook executive and later in charge of venture capital funds, won a 10% stake from 2011-2022-2022.

Kerr and Palihapitiya crossed the road for seven seasons after the head coach came to the Bay Area in 2014.

When asked about wearing a Harvard shirt following the Warriors’ play-in victory with the Grizzlies in 121-116, Carr made clear about his political stance, as he is well known.

“Ah, is there something going on?” he joked, kicking off his answer. “Tommy Amarker is my friend. Harvard coach. He sent me this shirt. In fact, we practiced in Boston in November. He gave me this shirt. It felt like a great day to wear academic freedom. I’ve heard of it, but for now, this is how we support Harvard.”

The No. 7 Warriors will begin their first round playoff series with the No. 2 Rocket on Sunday night.
