Joe Biden “has really gone underground,” Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, said in an interview. The COVID-19 diagnosis was likely a pretext to get Biden out of the spotlight for a few days. Asked by host Mike Slater where Biden was, Jackson replied, “Well, that’s a good question, isn’t it?”
“He’s really fallen flat, which is why I keep saying, this guy has COVID, he has health issues, people forget, he may be out of the race, but he’s still our commander in chief,” he said, reminding everyone that Biden is “still our head of state.”
He noted that Biden still has several months left in his term, adding that he has no confidence that Biden will be able to complete the job.
“So I don’t know, that’s a good question. His doctor needs to come out and tell us what’s going on. He needs to get in front of the camera himself and tell the public,” he said.
Biden announced Tuesday that he would address the nation on Wednesday evening.

Jackson questioned whether Biden actually has the coronavirus, noting that he knows the president’s doctor, adding that he will “say whatever needs to be said and do whatever needs to be done for political purposes.”
“And then all of a sudden all of this happens and it’s really convenient that he’s really being killed by his own party. And he needs a reason, the party needs a reason to take him off the campaign trail, take him off camera and rebuild. And then all of a sudden he’s diagnosed with COVID-19, he’s quarantined and he’s out of the public eye for 10 days. One of the first things I noticed is they gave him COVID-19 and then he got off the plane,” he said, noting that Biden wasn’t even wearing a mask.
“Democrats are mask Nazis. … He actually gets diagnosed with COVID. He’s not wearing a mask. He gets off the plane. They do their event or whatever. He gets to Delaware at night and gets off the plane. That night he gets diagnosed with COVID and today he hasn’t had a mask on almost all day,” he said, marveling and calling them hypocrites.
“I honestly don’t think he has COVID. I think it was just an excuse to quarantine, regroup and figure out what’s going on here,” Jackson speculated.

“I think it was clear to them that it was over. Either he resigns, or Nancy Pelosi comes out publicly and criticizes him, and Kamala Harris talks to her cabinet and invokes the 25th Amendment to force him out of office,” he added.
