President Trump ally Ric Grenell has worked with former President Donald Trump to draw attention to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) purchases of American farmland, which pose a serious threat to America.
talk Breitbart News SaturdayGrenell warned about how the Chinese Communist Party is threatening American farmers, and previewed an event he plans to hold with former President Trump in Pennsylvania later this month as part of the Protect America Initiative.
“We're hosting this event in Pennsylvania because over the last decade the Chinese Communist government has engaged in a very aggressive strategy to try to infiltrate the United States in a variety of ways,” Grenell said.
“It's seeping into local politics, state politics. They've really taken advantage of us during the COVID pandemic. We know the supply chain issues, but what's starting to happen now is they're buying up land. It's putting pressure on farmers on prices and it's impacting how the United States feeds its own people,” he explained, calling it an “aggressive” strategy.
“This is becoming an aggressive strategy and there is no doubt that China will start to leverage their power. We know they will. I spent eight years on the UN Security Council and saw how China slowly and methodically starts to leverage their power. China has given a concrete example at the UN of slowly usurping positions at the UN,” he said, citing a typical example of China's approach.
“The Chinese Communist Party started to take over different parts of the United Nations. They did it really under the radar and once they had control, they started to flex their power, and this is exactly what they're doing on American soil,” said the former U.S. ambassador to Germany.
listen:
“They're doing this to American farmers. They're doing it with price controls. And it's this strategy that we need to take a sober look at,” he called “planned.”
Grenell said he will invite Pennsylvania farmers to talk about “what has happened to their land over the last five to 10 years.”
“You know, there's nobody better to talk about this issue than the people who are actually affected, the farmers who grow our food, who help raise the cows and the pigs so we have enough to eat, so this is a very personal issue for me,” Grenell said, referring to his family's farm.
“We know farmers are working hard to make a living and we need to take a hard look at what's happening to farmers in the Midwest and that's what this event is about,” he added.
