Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will host Wesley Hayes' widow, Olivia Hayes, for President Donald Trump's co-congress speech on Tuesday.
Hayes' husband was killed by illegal immigrants in a drunken accident in Louisiana. This is a tragedy that Johnson reflects former President Joe Biden's tragic open border policy.
Due to Biden's open border policy, Hayes' story is unfortunately not an isolated incident.
“Wesley Hayes was an active member of his community, a respectable Christian, his new father, and his new father tragically taken away by the actions of his illegal alien,” Johnson told Blaze News. “Instead of raising a young family together, Wesley's wife, Olivia, is now a single mother and a widow.”
“It's my honor to host Olivia as a guest on President Trump's joint speech, in order to honor Wesley's memory and shed light on the human sacrifices of President Biden's open border policy,” Johnson added.
Due to Biden's open border policy, Hayes' story is unfortunately not an isolated incident. During Biden's tenure, we saw the vicious loss of Americans, including Laken Riley, at the hands of illegal immigrants. Jocelyn Nungarei, a 12-year-old Texas girl, is said to have been murdered by the Venezuelan citizens as well.
The record number of immigration crossings during the Biden administration made immigration an important issue for voters across the board in 2024. As a result, Trump swept all seven swing states, secured a popular vote, and Republicans fulfilled the duty the Americans had given him in November.
