The Texas Republican Coalition, led by Rep. Randy Weber and Rep. Chip Roy, released a letter Wednesday accusing the Biden-Harris administration of failing to provide requested citizenship data regarding voter registration.
According to the letter, Mr. Roy and Mr. Weber, along with 12 of their Republican colleagues, appealed to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Ulu Jadou about a request by Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson that non-citizens are not registered to vote. “Public confidence in elections is a necessary cornerstone of any representative government,” Roy told DCNF. “That trust must be earned through diligence and transparency.”
“The Harris-Biden administration's refusal to provide Texas with critical information is a clear dereliction of duty,” Weber said.

According to the letter, the current administration has “consistently dismissed” concerns about non-referendum votes, insisting that “current laws preventing non-referendums are working.” At the same time, the administration is “preventing” states like Texas from properly enforcing these laws by withholding citizenship data requested by those states.
