Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is criticizing Democratic President Joe Biden for only accepting an invitation to give a commencement address at Atlanta’s Morehouse College in May. That’s because the university is in the same area that President Trump visited during his recent stop at the iconic Chick-fil-A. .
“It’s no coincidence that Joe Biden’s representatives signed on to speak at Morehouse College just days after President Trump received a grand reception in Atlanta and was warmly welcomed by many Morehouse students at Chick-fil-A.” said Caroline, the Trump campaign’s national spokeswoman. Levitt told Breitbart News on Tuesday. “Biden’s team is panicking because Joe Biden no longer has a base of support and African Americans support President Trump by a historic margin. It consists of limping around the country, reversing policies, and begging Americans who no longer supported him to vote for him again — regardless of their background. Because the damage Biden has done to all Americans will not be forgotten.”
Morehouse College is a historically black college and university (HBCU) because it is where civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. received his bachelor’s degree at age 19. It is also the university where Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) earned his bachelor’s degree. He is one of the few people who have made it public. celebrate I attended Mr. Biden’s scheduled speech there. Leavitt’s criticism of Biden comes after the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported late Monday that Biden has received an invitation from Morehouse College to deliver this year’s commencement address at its May 19 commencement ceremony, the first in nearly a year. The announcement was made after it was reported that he had finally accepted the offer.

But that came after President Trump had already visited the area earlier this month, visiting Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, which employs many Morehouse students. Many in the Morehouse College community do not believe Biden’s trip is entirely genuine.

Additionally, NBC News cited a teacher in the background as saying people were “concerned” about Biden’s planned visit and that there was already a “backlash” at Morehouse over extending the invitation.

It remains to be seen whether President Trump can capitalize on Black voters’ apparent apathy toward Biden’s re-election to win their support, or whether he can garner enough support to make a difference in key battleground states. But one thing is abundantly clear from Biden’s decision to follow Trump to Atlanta for a speech at Morehouse College in less than a month. The Democratic president is so afraid that he is losing so much ground to Trump in these places that he is literally trying to compete by imitating Trump. It’s the same region that President Trump has already visited to undo the damage caused by Biden’s economic and other missteps.
