Executive Producers of ‘Fallout’ Discuss the Importance of the Season 2 Finale's Post-Credit Scene: “We Have a Strong Affection for Giant Robots”

Fallout Season 2’s Post-Credits Scene Unveiled

The post-credits scene of Season 2 of fall out centers on robots. While the season wrapped up in a somewhat positive way, with certain significant questions lingering, the final moments showed the ghoul (played by Walton Goggins) walking into the distance, leaving some room for interpretation about what’s next.

Producers Todd Howard and Jonathan Nolan suggest that if you’re seeking an in-depth analysis of the post-credits scene, you may not find what you’re looking for here. They see that moment with the Brotherhood as a way to serve their personal creative interests.

Nolan shared, “It’s always intriguing to think about the narratives and the final impressions you leave with the audience. I’m a big fan of giant robots—I just can’t get enough of them.” It sounds a bit daunting, he admitted, but he’s eager to see how they can bring Liberty Prime Alpha to life in the series.

After a hopeful reunion between Maximus (Aaron Moten) and Lucy (Ella Purnell) in Season 2, the story takes a darker turn as war looms between the Brotherhood factions and Caesar’s Legion, led by the newly claimed Caesar, Envoy Laserta (Macaulay Culkin), as they approach New Vegas. On the day the war starts, the credits roll, and we see Dane (Zelia Mendez-Jones) walking through a Brotherhood base before presenting Elder Quintus (Michael Christopher) with a scroll.

Dane informs him, “This is the wreckage you requested,” to which Quintus asks him to unroll it. When Dane inquires about the blueprints, Quintus explains they are crucial for advancing in the impending conflict.

“Out of goodwill, I tried to unite the Brotherhood, and look where it led me,” states a bruised and disheveled Quintus. “Quintus the Unifier is gone. Now, Quintus the Destroyer will emerge.”

As the scene unfolds, a camera flash reveals blueprints for the formidable robot, Liberty Prime Alpha, making the traditional gear worn by certain Brotherhood members seem almost childlike in comparison.

In the video game that inspired the series, Liberty Prime Alpha serves as a combat robot and superweapon originally developed by the U.S. Army. The show seems to be gearing up to incorporate this character in its third season, hinting at even more significant developments ahead.

Howard humorously noted, “Jonah is really into building everything, so perhaps you could say this is about him constructing a giant robot for me.”

Nolan chimed in with, “We might need to decide who gets to keep it once it’s finished.”

Looking ahead, it seems Season 3 could ramp things up considerably. fall out Season 2 is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
