Jim Harbaugh is “The Michigan Man” for now, but oddsmakers say don't expect that to stay that way for long in the aftermath of his national championship victory.
DraftKings Sportsbook released odds on whether Harbaugh will return to an NFL coaching staff this season, and the odds suggest an 87.5 percent chance he will leave Michigan.
After months of speculation, DraftKings has offered +700 opening odds for Harbaugh to remain at Michigan. This gives him an implied probability of staying at 12.5 percent.
Since then, the public has defied expectations and poured money into Harbaugh to keep him a Wolverine.
His odds have changed dramatically since the start, going from +700 to +350 in a concise period.
The sportsbook projects the Chargers (+150) have the best chance of acquiring Harbaugh, as they have been on a big-game hunt since waiving Brandon Staley during the season.

DraftKings also pegged the Chargers as a candidate to bring in Patriots coach Bill Belichick in odds released earlier this week.
Following Los Angeles, the Washington Commanders +600, Las Vegas Raiders (+650) and Carolina Panthers (+800) are second in distance.
Of course, this speculation comes after Harbaugh was at the center of a sign-stealing scandal during a season in which the team went undefeated and won the national title.
The speculation was fueled by Harbaugh's hiring of an NFL agent with deep ties to other coaches, particularly quarterback Tom Brady.

However, Harbaugh has been flirting with the NFL in recent years, constantly negotiating with the Wolverines for more money.
He was offered a 10-year, $125 million contract by the Wolverines before the new year, likely more than he would receive from an NFL team.

As part of the deal, Harbaugh agrees not to negotiate with any NFL team during that time, as his NFL infidelity has become an annual tradition.
Harbaugh has the opportunity to stay in an already advantageous position and make more money.
His past suggests this is a great betting spot to target at +350 odds.
Bet: Jim Harbaugh won't coach in the NFL in 2024 (+350, DraftKings)
