Hello, readers.
Welcome to State of the Day. Let’s add a bit of grit to this discussion.
arrest begins
Something’s definitely happening.
Imagine a bird heading west from Washington, D.C. It flies over the Appalachian Mountains, glides through the clouds, and eventually sweeps over vast fields of grain, like an endless ocean.
If it turns right at Lake Michigan, it will soar between Des Moines and Madison, following the Mississippi River all the way to the curious city of Minneapolis.
The situation there is quite a spectacle.
“I’m disabled!” she exclaims as federal police pull her from the vehicle. “I’m disabled!” They cut her seatbelt and restrain her.
But honestly, what’s the point? Why show up if you really are disabled?
It’s chaotic—whistles, sirens, ICE agents everywhere, and a mother who should be with her kids, a barista, and someone who, well, probably belongs in a backyard crafting wooden chairs.
It just feels so clinical—especially for women.
“I couldn’t move because I was trying to go to the doctor!” she claims, but it doesn’t sound convincing.
This is just one of many arrest videos from Minneapolis. Federal immigration agents are clearly fed up with these antics.
She appeared intent on intercepting ICE with her vehicle. That’s becoming a pattern—one that’s illegal and could lead to serious jail time or worse.
I’ve heard Mr. Good wasn’t exactly a saint.
So, proceed.
Minneapolis liberals have some serious work ahead, and school is out.
Lesson 1: Although you may have heard otherwise, federal authorities are indeed real and have the power to detain and arrest.
Apparently, a giant misinformation campaign led many—primarily liberal women—to think ICE wasn’t a law enforcement agency, which isn’t true.
I’ve seen some wild things in my time, but this takes the cake.
Lesson 2: The phrase “legal observer” is also questionable. Just look around; it seems pretty far-fetched.
It’s all very fake and, well, a bit absurd.
Lesson 3: Regardless of where you’re getting your information, it’s worth asking who’s actually funding and organizing these efforts. Law enforcement is not just going after individuals; they’re also investigating the organizations behind the misinformation.
Somewhere comfortable and distanced from the situation, Nancy’s daughter Christine Pelosi is expressing her grief.
“My connection to Lennie Goode isn’t dependent on his mental state at the time of the incident. Don’t let them demonize him in the public eye. It’s shameful!” she tweeted from a wealthy neighborhood.
Good luck, Christine, but we’re onto those misguided moms and the groups encouraging them.
Trump has said he’ll figure out who’s financing this, which seems reasonable. One irate woman even replied on Fox that she was getting paid to protest.
“Do you have a job?” Laura inquires.
“Well, I’m getting paid now!”
Just look at the enthusiasm in Laura’s eyes.
Indeed, let’s ensure those distressed mothers are dealt with. But we also need to tackle the misinformation campaigns that suggest there’s no consequence for confronting ICE aggressively.
It’s time to remove illegal immigrants from Minneapolis and consider alternative placements for some of these active participants in these protests.
Mayor Frey may not approve, but at least he won’t have to deal with local issues during his next run.
