On Friday, Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) said on FNC's “Hannity” that despite Democrats' best efforts over the past four years, President-elect Donald Trump cannot be “cancelled.” said.
Alabama Republicans included Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who recently attended a meeting with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
“Look, I'm excited about the results on November 5th, and so is the rest of America,” she said. “As you know, I had some time to spend with my family this week, so starting on Wednesday I was with my husband's entire family for Thanksgiving meal, and I was seeing friends from back home until Thursday, and today… I attended the craft day with all my cousins and all their children and extended family.”
Britt continued. “Let me tell you, the theme of all of these conversations was hope, not just hope for tomorrow, but hope for a brighter long-term future for our children. We are finally seeing resilience because we believe. As you were just talking to the speaker before me, other countries are beginning to realize this as well. It's not happening on January 20th, it's happening today.”
“Yes, not only will you find Republicans participating, but you will also find Democrats who see the writing on the wall,” she continued. “As you said, Mark Zuckerberg came to Mar-a-Lago and I think he learned an important lesson the hard way: You can't cancel Donald Trump. Conservatives can't cancel either, and starting January 20th our voices will be louder than ever. We're going to get to work and get things done.”
