The family of a 64-year-old disabled man who was assaulted to death in Washington, D.C., has released the three girls accused of killing him to adulthood as more details emerge about the circumstances of the assault. We are requesting that he be prosecuted. .
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that two girls, a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, have been jailed for the assault and death of Reggie Brown last fall.
Brown’s sister told FOX 5, “They should be prosecuted as adults because they knew what they were doing. They should be treated like adults because they were doing adult things.” It should be done,” he said.

A relative of the 12-year-old suspect told FOX 5 that she lived with one of the 13-year-old suspects in an apartment near the scene where Brown was killed.
Four armed suspects entered the apartment early Friday morning and one of them fired three shots at the girl as she slept, according to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital. The girl described the suspects as black teenagers wearing all black clothing and that she fled the scene, according to the report.

The girl suffered a single gunshot wound to her lower right leg, but survived.
A 12-year-old and a 13-year-old boy were arrested the same day in connection with Brown’s death. The other 13-year-old suspect in Brown’s death was arrested the day before. All three are charged with second-degree murder.

In Washington, DC, it is illegal for children under 15 to be charged as adults. The Attorney General’s Office declined to comment to FOX 5 on why the girls will not be charged as adults because they are juveniles.
