911 Call Canceled in New Jersey Therapist Murder Case After Husband’s Body Found

A dramatic 911 call made by Connor Hanlon, whose wife, therapist Brooke Hanlon, was found stabbed at her New Jersey home, has been released. In the audio, Connor is heard frantically calling for help after discovering Brooke unresponsive and bleeding on the second floor. So far, there are no named suspects in the case, and authorities are offering a reward of $1,000 for any information.

Brooke Hanlon, 35, was discovered dead on June 6. Her murder remains unsolved, prompting her family to share memories of the beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter Avery, sister Paige Haggerty, as well as her parents, Melissa and Joseph Haggerty, and her husband, Connor Hanlon.

The therapist had a notable career and was described in her obituary as someone who had “tremendous compassion” for her clients. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2013 and earned her master’s degree from Northeastern University in 2015.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating her death, which is being treated as a homicide due to “multiple sharp force injuries.” Yet, no suspects or key persons have been identified in the ongoing investigation, leaving many questions unanswered.

In a statement to authorities, the Hagerty family expressed their full confidence in law enforcement’s efforts in the inquiry.

During the 911 call, Connor urged the operator to guide him through CPR, penning the severity of his wife’s situation as she lay injured. The couple had been married for around five years before this tragic incident unfolded.

Brooke’s obituary captured her essence, noting how she touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. It’s just heartbreaking, really, to hear such tragic news about someone who seemed to be a beacon of hope for everyone she met.
