Lil Nas X posted a video from his hospital bed April 14 showing partial paralysis in his face.
The famous singer remained high-spirited despite the obvious medical setback. He recorded himself struggling to move the muscles in his face as he addressed his Instagram fans, but only one side complied while the other remained still, seemingly frozen in place.
“This is me doing a full smile right now by the way,” he said jokingly in the video. “It’s like, what the fuck? I can’t even laugh right, bro.”
The “Old Town Road” singer repeatedly attempted to smile, with no luck.
“Lost control of the right side of my face,” he wrote in the caption.
The star maintained a positive attitude in a number of other video updates shared to his Instagram Story.
Lil Nas X was seen going about his day in an effort to maintain some sort of normalcy despite the unidentified health issue.

He zoomed in on one side of his face in one of the videos, saying, “We normal over here.”
He then panned to the other side of his face. “We get crazy over here,” he said, pointing out that the two sides didn’t match.
The Grammy winner wrote “I’m so cooked” in one of his Instagram Story clips, along with a few reassurances to fans.
“Guys I am ok!! Stop being sad for me! Shake ur ass for me instead!” he wrote.
As his updates went on, he said, “I think it’s already getting better.”

“It’s gonna take a lot more than that to get a bad bitch down,” the singer said in an update shared to his Instagram Story at around noon Tuesday.
Lil Nas X did not divulge details surrounding his medical diagnosis.
