Fanatics Flag Football Classic Sees Massive Viewership
Event organizers announced on Wednesday that the Fanatics Flag Football Classic attracted an impressive number of viewers. The event, held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, featured notable NFL figures like Tom Brady and garnered over 300 million views across various platforms within just 24 hours, as per Fanatics.
The Fox telecast reportedly drew in 2.8 million viewers. According to an Instagram update from Fanatics, the remaining views were from Fanatics’ and Fox’s social media outlets and live streams from personalities like iShowSpeed, Marlon, Tota, and Jay Cinco, who were broadcasting from the event.
During the showcase, three teams went head-to-head in a round-robin format on a 50-yard field.
One team was led by Brady and Jalen Hurts, while another was captained by Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels. The third team consisted of traditional flag football players with experience representing the United States in international competitions.
In the end, Team USA emerged as the clear winner, securing victory in all three games. This seems to suggest that American athletes might indeed have a rightful place on the Olympic roster, perhaps even more than the NFL stars present.
The crowd at BMO Stadium was rather small, though several celebrities made their appearance, which was somewhat expected, especially since the event was relocated from Saudi Arabia to Southern California at the last minute.
Among the attendees were Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey, who occupied box seats. Joe Burrow’s rumored girlfriend, model Olivia Ponton, was spotted on the sidelines.
Other celebrities included musicians Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Scott, along with comedians Kevin Hart and Drusky.
“Flag football is here 🫡,” Fanatics expressed in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “You all came to watch @usafootball and @NFL stars battle it out at the 1st Annual Fanatics Flag Football Classic 👏 Who’s ready to take on LA28?”
