Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis broke her silence Sunday, a week after criticism over President Trump's alleged behind-the-scenes misconduct and home destruction in Georgia's election interference case.

Sunday's speech Speaking to the congregation at Atlanta's Big Bethel AME Church, Willis denied allegations that he bedding married subordinates or taking lavish trips for 10 cents. He also did not deny suggestions that he is coordinating with President Biden's White House and members of the Jan. 6 Committee to defeat the Democratic president's biggest rival.

Rather, Democratic prosecutors sought to paint themselves as victims of racial hostility, chosen by God for greatness.

a
motion to disqualify Willis and her alleged lover, special counsel Nathan Wade, from prosecuting the election interference case against Michael Roman, one of former President Donald Trump's co-defendants, in Georgia. The lawsuit was filed on January 8th.

The motion alleged that Willis, who was subpoenaed to testify in Mr. Wade's divorce case, was engaged in an “inappropriate secret personal relationship” with Mr. Wade. Mr. Wade is a married attorney whom she appointed at the request of the Fulton County Commission without the approval of the Fulton County Commission. Law — whose apparent inexperience has come under increased scrutiny in recent days.

The motion further states that Willis' “clear and intentional failure to disclose a conflict of interest to Fulton County and the courts, coupled with her decision to hire a special prosecutor based on her own personal interests.” “This may be an act of deceiving the public with honest information.” The service was not provided because the district attorney “personally benefited from an undisclosed conflict of interest.” ”

In addition to exposing Willis to a federal criminal investigation, the motion raised further concerns about President Biden's direct involvement in prosecuting the top Republican candidate.

Blaze News previously reported that Willis and Wade met with President Biden's associates before and after recommending that Trump be prosecuted at taxpayer expense. The two also appear to have been coordinating with Jan. 6 committee staff for months as they developed their case against Trump in Georgia.

complaint On Wednesday, he met with Gov. Brian Kemp and Georgia Gov. Kerr and asked them to order “an immediate and formal criminal investigation into alleged criminal misconduct” by Mr. Willis and Mr. Wade.

If you look closely, you'll see a victim

Willis suggested early in Saturday's 35-minute speech that Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream was still a “work in progress,” saying “Americans… have normalized cruelty, “We have normalized prejudice,” he said, setting the stage. We have normalized hatred. ”

Willis said criticism of her leadership and hiring decisions is motivated by hatred, particularly racial hostility, rather than concerns about fairness, legality or conflicts of interest.

“They call me the N-word more than they call me Funny,” Willis said. ”[God,] You didn't tell me, a person of color, that it doesn't matter what I do. My motives, my talents, my abilities, and my character will be constantly attacked. ”

The Democratic prosecutor revealed who he had in mind when condemning his critics: “God, I don't want to be like the people who attack me. I never want to be the Marjorie Taylor Greene who forgave my soul even though I never did.” Be filled with hate…Why would a woman like that want other women to be like that? Have we come to believe that deserving brutality is normal and normalized? ”

After portraying Greene as a villain and suggesting that God used the congressman to test Greene, Willis tried to drum up sympathy by recalling a recent incident in which Greene was allegedly attacked.

Willis then singled out Fulton County Commissioner Bridget Thorne to criticize Wade's appointment. Prosecutors say critics of Wade's appointment are “playing the race card.”

“It's a little confusing. I appointed three special advisers, which is my right. I paid them all the same hourly rate. Only one attacked,” Willis said. “I hired a white woman, a good personal friend, a great lawyer, a superstar. I hired a white man – great – a good personal friend of mine, a great lawyer. And I hired a black man, another superstar, a great lawyer, a friend and a great lawyer. ”

At this time, there are no allegations that Willis had relationships with other special advisers or traveled around the world at their expense.

Willis went on to defend Wade's “impeccable credentials” without naming him, referring to him as “The Black.” [man] I have been a judge for over 10 years. Operates over 20 private clinics. Represented business and civil litigation cases. … served as a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, and special assistant to the attorney general. ”

According to the motion, Wade was previously a prosecutor in Cobb County, but he never prosecuted any felonies there.newsweek

report Willis' “impeccable” nomination was found in contempt in August 2023 for refusing to provide income documentation and “deliberately” disobeying court orders. The income of interest appears to have been approximately $700,000 that Wade was paid by the Fulton County Attorney's Office, to which Willis agreed.

“We can't expect black women to be perfect and save the world. We need to be allowed to stumble,” Willis said.

Democratic prosecutors will stumble into Mr. Wade's acrimonious divorce case to testify on January 23rd.

Ashley Merchant, Roman's attorney who filed the motion, said: Said WSB-TV reported over the weekend that there were witnesses who corroborated the relationship between Willis and Wade.

“We would never have submitted something like this without multiple corroborating sources,” Merchant said. “We look forward to litigating this claim in court where we can present all of the evidence.”

Jeff DeSantis, a spokesman for Willis' office, insists his office will respond to the allegations in the court filing.
