Rick Owens Uses OnlyFans for Charity
Fashion designer Rick Owens has taken to OnlyFans, sharing foot videos to help raise money for the Alana Foundation, a charity created by Transpioneers. He announced this initiative in a recent Instagram post, mentioning the collaboration with Alana Star, who is also involved in the project.
In his post, Owens showcased a brief video of his legs, referencing the 19th-century Countess of Castiglione, an Italian noblewoman who was well-known for her self-portraits that prominently featured her feet. He discussed how the Countess became a recluse as she aged, retreating to a space where mirrors were absent, focusing instead on her foot portrait until her death. According to Owens, after her passing, poet Robert de Monteschiu purchased a collection of her photographs at auction.
He wrapped up his thoughts by reflecting on themes of self-exhibition, vanity, and his personal dealings with the passage of time.
Alana Star expressed her belief that even amid life’s challenges, good can emerge. She recounted a poignant encounter with an LGBTQ individual who had been homeless for two and a half months, sharing their frustration about organizations that didn’t respond to their pleas for help.
“It’s a horrifying reality,” Starr noted. “But after reaching out to volunteers, we were able to assist this person within a day, offering medical help and a path to stability at La Maison D’Allanah, a shelter located in Versailles, France, dedicated to transgender individuals.”
Thanks to this distressing situation, they now have a crisis team comprising social workers, legal experts, and volunteers ready to support individuals in need.
