Father of CDC shooter Patrick Joseph White repeatedly called 911 worried he was the gunman

The father of a gunman who opened fire at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, killing a police officer, has shared a recent 911 call expressing his fears about his son’s involvement in the attack. Kenneth White reached out to law enforcement after his son, Patrick Joseph White, shot over 180 rounds at the CDC’s headquarters last Friday.

“I’m very worried that he was involved in the shooting today,” the father said during one of the calls.

“I can’t get any information from anyone. I called Dekalb County 911 three times and left some details. No one called us. I don’t know if he’s involved. I need help,” he continued, sounding increasingly anxious.

In another conversation, he specifically requested that an officer who had previously assisted his son reach out to him directly.

“He’s been involved in some of the issues we had with our adult son last summer,” Kenneth noted. “Leave his name and number and call if you need something with Patrick.”

Records indicate that the family has made at least 10 emergency calls over the last two years concerning various issues, including threats of suicide and domestic disputes.

Patrick Joseph White fired from outside a pharmacy across the street after being initially stopped by CDC security. His barrage of gunfire shattered around 150 windows on the campus.

Unfortunately, DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose was killed amid the chaos, though no injuries were reported among the CDC staff.

After the shooting, police executed a search warrant at White’s home, uncovering several documents and electronics that are now being scrutinized. Investigations revealed that some materials expressed grievances regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and aimed to raise public awareness about these complaints, according to Georgia Investigation Director Chris Hossey.
