Reuven Yablonka told reporters on Friday he was relieved that his son’s body had been found and that he would be able to give him a proper burial in Israel, some eight months later.

His son’s body was retrieved from Gaza by Israeli forces, along with the bodies of two other hostages.

The 42-year-old was among the victims massacred by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7.Number.

Jablonka said she plans to hear more details about the restoration efforts after the funeral.

“Hanan was found in the tunnel and an operation was carried out. Details will be available after seven days of mourning,” Jablonka said. “They wanted to come and tell me, but I said, ‘No, we’ll arrange the funeral first, then you can tell us.’ I also learned that those who took part in the night operation wanted to come and see our family.”

Families of the hostages continue to call on the Israeli government to intensify efforts to bring home the remaining 130 hostages.
