Family Fundraiser After Father’s Tragic Death

The daughter of Paul Cukor, a Connecticut man who tragically ended his life by jumping from Madison Square Garden during a concert over the weekend, has started a fundraiser to support her family.

In her GoFundMe post, Chloe Cukor shared, “It is with sadness that I announce the heartbreaking news of my dear father Paul Cukor’s sudden passing at the age of 51 due to a tragic accident.” She mentioned that the funds would help comfort a family grieving for a “devoted father, family member, and friend.”

Chloe expressed how difficult it has been to come to terms with this loss. “We are struggling to process this unimaginable tragedy while also facing the costs linked to his memorial,” she said. The goal of the fundraiser, according to her, is to assist with funeral expenses and lessen the family’s financial struggles during this painful time.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the initiative had raised over $58,800, with a target of $65,000.

Paul Cukor, celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife Kristen at the concert, left his seat, presumably to go to the restroom. Unfortunately, he jumped from the venue while his wife was seated three blocks away, unaware of the incident until informed by authorities.

Cukor was later taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The band Goose, in response to this tragic event, expressed their condolences and held a moment of silence during their next performance. They also designed “BIG LOVE” t-shirts with all proceeds directed to the fundraiser for the Cukor family.

As the investigation by police and the city medical examiner continues, Chloe Cukor concluded her GoFundMe message, saying, “Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. We will always miss the love, strength, and joy our father brought into our lives.” She added, “His memory will endure through the many lives he touched and the families he cherished.”
