Father Travis Decker captured on Ring camera days before he reportedly killed his daughter

Security footage has emerged showing Travis Decker, whose three daughters were found dead, as authorities intensified their search for him. The video, recorded on a doorbell camera, captures Decker approaching a home, knocking, and then behaving strangely by moving his hands up and down.

This footage, released by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, predates any formal murder charges. However, officials felt it was important to share as it presents a recent image of him.

Decker, 32 years old, is wanted for three counts of murder after the bodies of his daughters—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia (5)—were discovered at a remote campground, abandoned near a truck.

Authorities have also released additional images of Decker, showcasing his distinctive facial hair and tattoos. In one image, he is seen sporting a ponytail.

Described as weighing around 190 pounds and standing 5 feet 8 inches tall with dark hair and brown eyes, Decker has been labeled as potentially dangerous. The Sheriff’s Department stressed that he should not be approached.

The tragic situation unfolded after Decker took his daughter from his ex-wife’s home for a scheduled custody visit on May 30. When he failed to return the children, the mother reported them missing late that Friday night.

An alert was issued for the three girls, but it was canceled on Monday when their bodies were discovered at Rock Island Campground, approximately 18 miles from Leavenworth. The girls were found near their father’s truck, with plastic bags over their heads and zipped wrists. Preliminary findings suggest asphyxiation may have been the cause of death.

Authorities are concerned about Decker’s survival skills; having previously served in the Washington National Guard, they believe he could navigate the wilderness for an extended period. There’s speculation he may have prepared in advance, possibly stashing supplies to aid his survival.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Decker’s capture.
