FBI director gives serious alert following thwarted Michigan mass shooting plan

FBI Director Issues Warning After Disruption of Mass Shooting Plot

The FBI Director, Kash Patel, recently delivered a stark message following the disruption of a mass shooting plan linked to ISIS at a military facility. He emphasized that those targeting U.S. troops or collaborating with foreign terrorist groups will face severe legal consequences.

Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed, a former member of the Michigan Army National Guard, was taken into custody for allegedly plotting a mass shooting near the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan. Patel made it clear, stating, “This should serve as a warning. Anyone who targets our military or conspires with foreign terrorist organizations will be identified, stopped, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” He praised the efforts of the Joint Terrorism Task Force and local law enforcement for their commitment to protecting the public.

In an alarming account, it was revealed that the individual was reportedly encouraging plans for the attack, including discussions about ammunition supply. Presently, he faces charges related to providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization and disseminating information about destructive devices. If found guilty, he could face up to 20 years for each count.

According to reports, the investigation into Abdulmajid-Mohamed’s activities began around June 2024, when he allegedly began communicating with an undercover agent he believed shared his extremist views. He had joined the Michigan Army National Guard in September 2022, completed basic training, and was discharged by late 2024.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is spearheading the investigation, with Patel noting the swift action taken by agents and partners, which he claims saved lives. He reiterated the importance of their work, praising their effectiveness in handling such critical situations.
