FBI Director Patel Indicates Transparency on Russia Collusion Claim in ‘a Week or Two’ — ‘The Largest Deception Game in D.C. We’ve Ever Witnessed’

On this week’s episode of Sunday Morning Futures, FBI Director Kash Patel tackled the longstanding assertions that Russian interference was responsible for President Donald Trump’s initial election triumph in 2016.

Though legal restrictions have lapsed regarding the prosecution of this matter, Patel informed host Maria Bartiromo that viewers should anticipate a “wave of transparency” in a week or so.

Bartiromo noted her previous discussions with Patel and Devin Nunes about these topics, emphasizing their accuracy in addressing the Russian conspiracy narrative.

Patel responded by highlighting conversations with former officials who had occupied similar positions, asserting that the FBI was once considered the premier law enforcement agency and it could regain that stature soon.

However, he critiqued former leaders like Comey, McCabe, and Strzok for allegedly misleading federal courts and the public, misusing taxpayer funds, and withholding crucial information from investigations related to terrorism.

He mentioned that when these leaders were confronted about their actions, they responded with dishonesty. Patel credited individuals like Bartiromo and Dan for their early courage in covering these issues, which are still relevant as Congress collaborates with them and more documents related to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation are being released.

He emphasized that restoring trust with the American public regarding the FBI is crucial.

Bartiromo interjected, pointing out that the conversation has been ongoing for quite some time and that there has been a lack of accountability for figures like Comey and Strzok, who seem to have moved on with their media careers unaffected.

Patel acknowledged this criticism, explaining that the current FBI team hasn’t been in place for the last five years, and many of the restrictions they face stem from that time. He added that while investigations into criminal actions are possible, several crucial details are still beyond their reach.

He assured that they are actively working to uncover documents that have been kept from the public and mentioned finding more information last week related to Crossfire Hurricane. Patel reiterated the importance of working with Congress to release all pertinent documents.

He criticized the previous leadership for disregarding the FISA process and accused them of lying to the public while hiding documents in inaccessible places. He expressed optimism in being part of the current effort to promote transparency.

Bartiromo inquired further about what the anticipated transparency would entail.

Patel replied that it would likely take about one to two weeks.
