FBI Ends Relationship with Leftist 'Partisan Attack Group' SPLC

FBI Ends Partnership with Southern Poverty Law Center

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has officially severed its relationship with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), as reported by director Kash Patel on Friday.

In his social media post, Patel expressed that the SPLC has strayed from its original mission, stating that it “abandoned civil rights work long ago and became a partisan smear.” He criticized the organization for using its “maps of hatred” to target average Americans, suggesting that this approach has led to violence.

Patel also emphasized that such a troubling history makes it inappropriate for the FBI to associate with the SPLC.

The SPLC claims on its website that its “maps of hatred” have tracked incidents of hate since 2000.

According to a report by Breitbart News from May, the SPLC placed Turning Point USA—a group founded by free speech advocate Charlie Kirk—on its “hate map,” comparing it to the Ku Klux Klan due to its “anti-government” views.

Kirk was tragically shot during a lecture at Utah Valley University in September. Patel’s response to the SPLC’s actions drew attention.

In the current year, the SPLC reportedly included various groups like Moms for Freedom on its “hate map,” labeling them as “anti-government extremist groups.” They have also targeted a group of LGBTQ individuals who oppose transgender youth.

The SPLC has positioned itself as a judge over what constitutes a “hate group,” as highlighted in their recent report on extremism.

Jack Posobiec, a host on Human Events, thanked Patel for the decision to cut ties with the SPLC, calling the organization responsible for the country’s troubling actions, particularly in relation to Kirk’s organization.

He added that the SPLC collaborates with major companies like Google and Amazon, asserting that America would benefit from their loss of credibility.
