FBI Reports Increased Crime Fighting Efforts Under Trump Administration
The FBI has reported significant progress in tackling crime and apprehending violent offenders and child predators during the Trump administration, based on data released by the agency recently. Over the last 21 months, the FBI made more than 47,000 arrests of violent criminals and gang members, marking a notable 67% rise compared to the last 21 months of the Biden administration.
Additionally, the arrests of child sex predators and human traffickers increased by 13%, with over 6,000 individuals apprehended, according to agency statistics.
FBI Director Kash Patel highlighted these achievements, asserting that under Trump’s leadership and through collaboration with the Department of Justice and local law enforcement, the FBI delivered the largest reduction in violent crime recorded in U.S. history. He pointed out a 30% decline in the national murder rate, a 114% rise in arrests of suspects related to violent crimes, and over 4,600 kilograms of fentanyl seized—enough to potentially harm over 350 million people.
Furthermore, law enforcement captured 10 fugitives from the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, a figure 2.5 times greater than the previous four years, along with six individuals from a newly established “Most Wanted Fraudsters” list recently created.
During the Biden administration, the FBI faced considerable scrutiny from Republicans, who criticized it for alleged political bias and its approach to high-profile investigations. Addressing the current climate, Patel acknowledged that the FBI confronted one of the most significant threat environments in U.S. history as Trump commenced his second term.
