FBI investigates surveillance video from another Tucson house in Nancy Guthrie case

Tucson Surveillance Footage Sparks Speculation in Guthrie Case

A man captured on surveillance video trespassing in Tucson could be linked to the recent case involving Nancy Guthrie. This footage appears to show a figure moving through a carport around the same time a separate video caught someone approaching Guthrie’s front door.

The video, as reported by TMZ and discussed by Harvey Levin, shows a man in a hooded jacket and long pants carrying two backpacks. At one point, he tries to toss one of the backpacks over what seems to be a backyard gate before ultimately leaving the area without success.

This footage was recorded at around 1:53 a.m. on February 1, a mere eight miles from where Guthrie lives. Sources familiar with the investigation indicate that this information surfaced while authorities were actively searching for clues regarding her disappearance. While the police are interested in talking to the individual in the video, they emphasize he’s not currently a suspect, mainly due to the common clothing and backpack he shares with the person seen later at Guthrie’s residence.

On the same early morning, the FBI released footage showing a person approaching Guthrie’s doorstep, occurring at 2:12 a.m. This timing raises questions about whether the same individual could have traveled from the earlier location to Guthrie’s home in a quick span of roughly 19 minutes, presumably trying to disguise their identity.

However, Jason Pack, a former FBI agent, advises caution in drawing quick conclusions. “It’s essential not to jump to conclusions based on incomplete information,” he noted. Pack highlighted that this individual seemed to be part of an expansive video investigation, as detectives were combing through the neighborhood in search of insights related to the case.

The FBI has confirmed that they are eager to identify this man, who is dressed in jeans and a shirt similar to those described in the investigation. They are currently in the process of vetting potential connections to the case.
