FBI operation saves 115 children and arrests 205 suspected sex offenders across the country

FBI Rescue Operation Nabs Child Predators

In a recent announcement from the Department of Justice, the FBI has successfully conducted a nationwide operation, resulting in significant outcomes. Known as Operation Restore Justice, this initiative spanned five days and involved collaboration across 55 FBI field offices, the DOJ’s Child Exploitation and Indecency Division, and various U.S. attorneys’ offices.

During the operation, 115 children were rescued, and 205 individuals were arrested on charges related to child abuse. Among those arrested was a former police officer in Washington, D.C., suspected of trafficking. The operation highlighted alarming instances of individuals, including some in uniform, producing child exploitation materials.

FBI reports indicated that various states were affected, with six arrests made in North Carolina, involving previously convicted offenders charged with sex trafficking minors. If convicted, some of these suspects could face life sentences.

The FBI’s Cleveland office reported the arrest of eleven individuals, while Boston and Newark saw five and three arrests, respectively. FBI Director Kash Patel noted that many offenders included educators and law enforcement personnel.

Patel remarked, “Every child deserves to grow free from fear and exploitation,” emphasizing the FBI’s relentless pursuit of those who target the vulnerable. He underscored the message that there is no sanctuary for predators.

The DOJ highlighted the importance of community vigilance and outreach in successfully executing the sting operation. Attorney General Pam Bondy described the operation as both “historic” and “unprecedented,” stressing the department’s unwavering commitment to protect child victims and to hold offenders accountable without hesitation.
