FBI Overlooked Initial Signs of Clinton's 2016 Russia Collusion Scheme

Revelations from Declassified Documents on 2016 Campaign

Recent declassified information highlights that during the 2016 presidential campaign, U.S. intelligence agencies had access to details suggesting that former President Barack Obama had considered an FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of private email servers while she was Secretary of State.

Additionally, the documents indicate that Obama’s FBI did not pursue information suggesting a Democratic plan to link Clinton’s opponent, Donald Trump, to the “Russian mafia.” These findings were part of an annex made public by Senator Chuck Grassley, stemming from John Durham’s 2023 Special Adviser Report.

The annex includes excerpts from memos produced by the Russian Intelligence Agency. These documents reveal communication among political organizations associated with the Democratic National Committee, specifically mentioning notable figures like Debbie Wasserman Schultz and George Soros, as well as other political entities before this information was handed back to U.S. intelligence last week.

According to the reports, analysts who spoke with Durham’s team assessed that the emails at the heart of this foreign intelligence matter were likely genuine.

It is mentioned that the opposition’s strategy was focused on undermining Trump’s credibility, with Clinton’s team reportedly collaborating with special services to fabricate a scandal connecting Trump to the “Russian mafia.”

FBI analysts assessed that “special services” might suggest assistance from various government agencies, including the FBI itself, or perhaps documents created by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer who was paid by Clinton and the Democrats.

No immediate responses were received from the offices of Barack and Michelle Obama, nor from the Clinton Foundation.

Senator Grassley remarked that this political maneuvering has inflicted considerable harm on U.S. institutions and stands as one of the most significant political scandals in American history.

Grassley expressed his commitment to revealing the full facts related to the Durham investigation and related issues, emphasizing that Americans should not be misled on matters of public importance.

In a related note, documents recently declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard highlight how Obama’s intelligence chiefs allegedly manipulated information to support claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin favored Trump. This narrative has fueled the ongoing discourse surrounding Russian interference.

Clinton faced significant scrutiny during the 2016 election for her private email practices, which posed risks to national security. The newly released documents could shed light on these issues.

“The steps taken by the CIA and Justice Department towards declassifying Durham’s findings aim to clarify false narratives about a Trump-Russia collusion that were politically motivated,” a comment suggested.

Overall, the call for full transparency about the alleged Russian conspiracy and the judicial abuses connected to it is echoed, with the release of documents related to Durham’s report seen as a move towards greater accountability.
