FBI’s ‘radar’ fails again: Is America safe under an unchecked government?

A strange and disturbing incident occurred recently at a Trump rally in Tucson, Arizona, when roughly 20 attendees experienced mysterious symptoms, including blurred vision and facial swelling, shortly after the rally.

The cause is still unknown, but some have speculated that it may have been a chemical weapons attack, and many are wondering whether this is another example of Democrats and the media inciting violence against Trump supporters, given the political violence of the past few years.

This incident at the Tucson rally is not just an isolated incident — it's part of a much larger problem for the FBI.

Arizona journalist Christy Kelly appeared on “Blaze News Tonight” last week to discuss the issue, where she interviewed 10 attendees who got sick after the rally — all of them reported that they were totally fine at the rally, but 20 to 30 minutes after leaving the venue, they began experiencing horrifying symptoms, including tingly noses, blurred vision, and redness around the eyes.

Many were rushed to the emergency room, some diagnosed with chemical burns to both eyes. This is not a minor irritant. This is chemical eye burns. Doctors initially suggested the symptoms could be due to bright lights or irritants in the air, but the diagnosis indicates something much more serious.

Both the event center and local police were notified, but neither the venue nor Tucson Police have issued a statement about the possible chemical exposure. Thankfully, the Trump campaign is investigating what actually happened. But the silence from authorities is deafening and begs the question: Does no one care anymore?

The incident at this rally is not just an isolated incident — it's part of a larger problem for the FBI.

I've been talking about this on my show for years, and how many times have we heard from the FBI after a mass shooting or an assassination attempt that the suspect was under surveillance? It's especially reassuring because it seems like the people who were under surveillance are the ones who are committing the crimes.

Take President Trump's second assassin, Ryan Wesley Routh, who had numerous run-ins with police, including a three-hour standoff with a fully automatic machine gun in 2002, yet still managed to get an AK-47. If he was under FBI surveillance in 2019, how on earth did he get an AK-47 and get on to President Trump's golf course?

The FBI claims to receive thousands of tips every day, but therein lies the problem: Routh wasn't just under surveillance; he had been involved in previous threats. And yet the police did nothing. Why? Is incompetence to blame, or is there something more sinister at work?

I'm not here to spread conspiracy theories, but let's talk about conspiracies. factWe live in a time when our government knows everything about us. With the power of artificial intelligence and all the data it collects, the FBI could easily identify unstable individuals like Routh. With the power the FBI wields, who's to say they couldn't manipulate someone into thinking they're “responsible” for violent acts? I'm not saying that's what's happening, but with Americans' trust in their government at an all-time low, this latest misstep certainly makes things worse.

This kind of unchecked power is a problem no matter who is in power.

Democrats, let me ask you a question: Do you trust this system? If Trump is re-elected, would you still trust it? Unless you expect a one-party state, this same government may one day be turned against you. That is why it is essential that we demand that the rule of law be equally enforced, regardless of our political stance. The danger is not just on one side; the danger is on all of us.

The only way to protect ourselves from an out-of-control government is to make sure that no one has that power. Once power is in the hands of people we can't trust, it's too late. And if we don't demand accountability and equal justice now, it won't be long before we find ourselves on the wrong side of that power. We may already be in that state.
