FDNY ‘looking into’ staff who booed NY AG Letitia James, cheered for Trump at ceremony

The FDNY denied reports that it was “searching” firefighters and employees who booed New York State Attorney General Letitia James and shouted “Trump! Trump! Trump!” He said at last week’s promotion ceremony that he was only investigating those who violated department rules.

After the ceremony, Hodgens admonished the firefighters for their unruly behavior.

“Today’s ceremony was to recognize the accomplishments of the members being promoted,” he said. “The actions of our members in distracting from that celebration are shameful and unbecoming of the world’s greatest fire department.”

Mr. James led a months-long civil trial against Mr. Trump in New York City, accusing the former president of inflating his assets and committing fraud.
