FDNY loses another member to 9/11-related illness, firefighter orgs say

According to FDNY, another retired firefighter, who responded to the duties that worked at the darkest time in the city, died of 9/11 -related illnesses.

Thomasdan, a former member of Brooklyn's engine company 234, died on Saturday on September 11, 2001 due to a large -scale reaction to the World Trade Center. I said in a social media post.

“”[Firefighter] Dan has served our great department for seven years with honor and dedication. Answer the phone when his city needs the most, “he wrote. “His memory is blessed, and his soul rests with eternal peace.”

The firefighter association in uniforms, a non -profit organization that promotes the health, safety and profits of the city firefighters, stated that the members were lamenting Dan's death.

“His family has already endured a big loss, including his brother's death, [firefighter] Jimmy Dan [Ladder] 114, 8 years ago ” The organization wrote. “Please keep his father and loved one in your prayer … don't forget.”

Some of Dan's former First Respander lamented his companion, saying that his colleagues were “photographed too quickly” and fell on Facebook.

“We seem to have been fighting the fire yesterday,” Breichi wrote in one group. “Tonight, I will toast to all the brothers of Schenectady Avenue. Working with you was really honorable.”

More than 370 firefighters have died of 9/11 -related diseases for many years since 343 firefighters and nearly 3,000 terrorists killed nearly 3,000 firefighters.

Dan's family will hold a private service in Florida where he lived.
