Details Emerge on Arrests of Criminal Illegal Immigrants in Minnesota

This week, with federal agents actively patrolling Minnesota, new information has surfaced regarding some of the most serious criminal illegal immigrants apprehended. The list includes individuals with convictions for various serious crimes, such as sexual offenses and drug trafficking.

This latest update came after a press briefing on Friday, where Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino discussed the ongoing immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, highlighting the recent efforts of law enforcement.

Apart from the two arrests mentioned at the Blue City press conference, officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that others detained during the recent Operation Metro Surge had past convictions for child sexual offenses, domestic violence, and trafficking narcotics.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, “DHS law enforcement continues to remove violent and criminal illegal aliens from Minnesota’s streets. Just yesterday, they arrested pedophiles, sex offenders, and drug traffickers.” She noted the concern about the dangers posed by those released from prisons in Minnesota.

McLaughlin also urged Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis’s Mayor Jacob Frey to acknowledge over 1,360 undocumented immigrant detainees currently within Minnesota’s prison system. She emphasized, “Our law enforcement officers consistently put their lives on the line to arrest the most dangerous criminals among illegal aliens.”
