Welcome to Playing Through’s daily ritual, Golf Talk Today.
Each day, the crew will discuss a different element of the PGA Tour, LPGA, LIV Golf and more.
The final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship has arrived and the top 70 will be reduced to the top 50 in next week’s playoff event.
Hideki Matsuyama is at 17 under par, five strokes ahead of PGA Tour newcomer Nick Dunlap, who is at 12 under par. Viktor Hovland is in sole third place at 11 under par. Rounding out the top five heading into the final round are Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns, who are tied for fourth at 10 under par.
Matsuyama may win on Sunday, but with so much at stake, anything can happen.
Sunday will be a big day for all 70 players as they fight for crucial FedEx Cup points needed to reach the finals.
Who will finish the season in Memphis, but more importantly, who will head to Colorado for the BMW Championship?
So grab a cup of coffee, grab a snack and get settled in for the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first of three playoff events on the PGA Tour.
