Troubled rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine said federal agents and local police raided his Florida mansion Wednesday.
Tekashi told TMZ that officials handcuffed him while they conducted a search of his home. He claimed he remained in handcuffs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as authorities conducted the search. The rapper also alleged that law enforcement officers collected DNA samples from him during his detainment. He told TMZ that law enforcement officials confiscated guns and drugs and claimed they wanted to test them against his DNA samples.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) told TMZ that U.S. Probation officers were joined by the department’s Narcotics Investigators during the execution of a search warrant on the rapper’s residence.
The PBSO said federal officers seized items from Tekashi’s residence amid a “probation” check and removed some items for additional analysis.
They went on to say that the items law enforcement allegedly found could not immediately be tied to 6ix9ine and required further testing, according to TMZ.
The PBSO did not verify Tekashi’s claim that officers seized guns and drugs during the raid.

Tekashi 6ix9ine maintained his innocence and claimed he had no idea what the feds were looking for. The rapper told TMZ he is currently on home arrest and was not involved in any criminal activity.
TMZ was told police did not arrest the rapper as there was no probable cause. Their source said law enforcement handcuffed him amid the raid for officer safety.

Tekashi was sentenced to two years in prison in 2019 after pleading guilty to racketeering and other charges related to his previous association with a violent gang known as the Nine Trey Gangssta Bloods. He was released during the pandemic in 2020 due to his medical condition at the time. Authorities took the rapper into custody again in November 2024 after his probation officer said he failed drug tests and was traveling without permission to do so.
