‘Female-presenting’ male arrested after allegedly assaulting Turning Point USA students with bike lock

The man reportedly “female presence” was arrested Tuesday after allegedly assaulting a Turning Point USA student on a bike lock at the University of Texas Dallas. Mobile phone video The viral of the incident.

Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of trying to obtain a weapon from an officer, and one count of an attack by a peace officer. Dallas Observers reported.

“The attacker took the metal bike lock and slammed it into Page's head… so hard that it completely smashed Page's phone.”

Nguyen was also charged with three misdemeanors. He resisted the resistance of arrest and two criminal mischief, the observer added.

Collin County Jail Records show Nguyen was released on Thursday. Prison records show that Nguyen's birth year is 2004, and he is 20 or 21 years old, standing at 5'9'' and weighing 120 pounds. The prison records do not include bail or bond information.

The prison records also listed Nguyen's gender as a man. The observer said, citing prison records, “nguyen listed 'Alyssa' as their favorite name,” adding, “the video of the campus attack shows that the individual is a woman's presence.”

The observers posted the Turning Point USA chapter in UT Dallas on Instagram on Tuesday, calling “tents and tables” “tents” “set up tents and tables or meet students interested in joining the organization” during midday hours outside the campus Student Union.

Our branch president, Page Neumann, and her secretary, Grace, were attacked while tabled at the University of Texas at Dallas.

The attacker took the metal bike lock and slammed it into Page's head… so hard that it completely smashed Page's phone. It is unclear whether the perpetrator is a woman or a trans person.

Page took the issue seriously and submitted a police report to the University Police, currently looking for an individual.

Thankfully, both Page and her chapter VP Grace (that phone was also destroyed) are physically fine.

@TPUSA students are part of the spear on university campuses across the country. They are brave, strong and resilient. Thank you to God to these wonderful students.

The observer added that the UT Dallas Police Department did not respond to an investigation into when and where authorities arrested Nguyen. The paper also said a campus spokesman would not say whether Nguyen is a UTD student.
