Transgenderism has permeated the highest levels of government, with Rep. Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-La.) making waves recently.
Mary Luke, author of the Daily Caller column, believes that the transgender “rights” Johnson and Mace are fighting over actually all started with women's rights.
“I've been thinking about this for a really long time,” Luke told Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson on “Blaze News Tonight.” “One of the big things that struck me was the fact that transgenderism was born and bred.”
“Because of feminism and its fight to erode the distinction between men and women, there is no longer a protected space for either,” she continues. “If our society can go back to a time when common sense and an understanding of the dignity of men and women were the focus of conversation, I think we can go back to a time when women weren't.” You have to fight this hard to keep men who wear it out of the bathroom. ”
What's insane about this fight is that these spaces the men are trying to invade are places frequented by young children and teenagers.
“This is exactly the kind of madness we're in right now, because we're no longer allowing men to come and protect us,” Luke says.
Luke appreciates that representatives like Mace are fighting this issue, but he remains skeptical.
“Every time you dig into her history, she was someone who fought to destroy this space for men. She was the first graduate of the Citadel, a military college in the South, and she took this as her pride. ,” Luke explains.
“'Look, I was able to break down this door of sexism, I was able to break down this door of misogyny, and now here I am, standing up and fighting for women. “What she doesn't understand is that her fight wasn't about sexism or misogyny. In fact, what her fight was actually about was against men. It was to remove any room for it to form.”
