Fetterman believes a military parade should be honored 'no matter the politics'

Fetterman Backs Trump’s Military Parade

Senator John Fetterman from Pennsylvania has voiced his support for President Donald Trump’s military parade, emphasizing that Americans should rally around it, regardless of their political affiliations. He expressed, “This parade consists of our sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers. It’s a celebration of our 250 years of sacrifice and service, and that’s something everyone can get behind.”

The parade, held on Saturday in Washington, D.C., marked the 250th anniversary of the U.S. military, attracting thousands of spectators. Among the highlights was a display by the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, who jumped above the crowd, along with army members waving from vehicles like a World War II Jeep.

Trump addressed the crowd, reminding them that all nations celebrate victories, stating, “Just like we do tonight, we remember the countless soldiers who have given their lives in every war, from the Revolution to the ongoing fight against terrorism.” He also acknowledged the Gold Star families present.

Meanwhile, a “No Kings” anti-Trump protest occurred in Alexandria, Virginia, backed by figures like Walmart heir Christy Walton. Attendance was estimated between 1,000 and 5,000 participants.

At a separate rally in Philadelphia, Fetterman faced boos after he was questioned about his views. Once a progressive favorite, his stance on issues like Israel and immigration has caused some consternation within his party.

Fetterman recently responded to a magazine article critiquing his mental state and voting record, dismissing it as a “hit piece” by a left-leaning publication. He suggested that his health issues had been exploited for political purposes.

Saying that his criticism of his party over Israel and border policies had led to his current situation, he added, “That’s why I faced backlash. But I’ve cast 90% of votes… perhaps in a somewhat cynical way.”
