Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) has fought back against “squad” MP Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over her criticism of Senate Democrats like him who support the GOP spending bill that avoids government shutdowns.
Fetterman said President Trump and the democratic class are increasingly broken on key issues – Ocasio-Cortez and other left-handed lawmakers are asking the Senate to block bills that fund the government until September 30th.
“I hope you can tell me how unconcerned you about her opinion about this,” Fetterman said. hill On Friday, when asked about Ocasio-Cortez's claim that Senate DEM, which votes to advance the bill, was betraying the betrayal that it voted against it.
“I'm going to stand up to what I happen to believe is the right thing to do, but 'What are the exit plans after shutting down the government?' What about millions of Americans who destroy their lives? ” he said.
“What about things that don't have a salary? But she's probably going to have a salary.”
Ocasio-Cortez told reporters Thursday that many Democrats felt a “deep sense of anger and betrayal” at the announcement that Senate Democrat minority leader Chuck Schumer would vote to advance his fundraising plan for his home.
“The bill is very bad, but the possibility of a closure affects America much worse,” Schumer declared in a Senate floor speech Thursday. “Allowing Trump to take more power is a much worse option.”
Many ferocious Democrats are pushing Ocasio-Cortez to primary Schumer in response to his decision.
