Jaelan Phillips’ Fiancée Says Emotional Goodbye

This week, Jaelan Phillips’ fiancée, Samantha, bid farewell to several Dolphins’ WAGs (wives and girlfriends) after Miami traded the linebacker to the Eagles ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline.

A photo shared on Instagram showed Samantha enjoying a meal at a Korean steakhouse in Miami with Nicolette Wilson, the wife of Dolphins backup quarterback Zach Wilson, and Sam St. Louis, who is dating Tyrell Dodson.

“Last dinner with girly pops,” Samantha commented, posting a boomerang video of the group clinking drinks together.

Nicolette also shared a moment on her Instagram Story, capturing Samantha and Sam entering the restaurant.

She wrote, “Last dinner with my daughter… Philadelphia is so lucky to have you.”

“Don’t leave us,” Sam chimed in, adding a couple of crying emojis for emphasis.

Samantha responded, reposting the message and saying, “I love you so much.”

The Eagles made a significant move by sending Phillips, along with a 2026 third-round draft pick, to Miami in a notable trade just before the deadline.

For the remainder of this season, Philadelphia will cover Phillips’ $1.5 million salary.

This isn’t Phillips’ first encounter with the Eagles’ defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio; they previously worked together when Fangio was in Miami during the 2023 season.

As a free agent next season, Phillips has recorded three sacks in nine games so far this year, bringing his total to 26 sacks over five seasons with the Dolphins.

The Eagles have further bolstered their defense by acquiring cornerbacks Michael Carter II and Jaire Alexander through separate trades with the Jets and Ravens in recent weeks.

Next up, the Eagles (6-2) are set to face the Packers (5-2-1) on Monday night.
