Firefighter’s Outburst at 9/11 Memorial
A firefighter vocally confronted a pro-Palestinian protester dressed as Elmo near the city’s 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero on Friday, using a barrage of expletives that reflected a big-city attitude.
This fiery exchange, delivered with a recognizable regional accent, was recorded from two different perspectives and shared on social media by Turning Point USA and Freedom News TV.
In the video, the firefighter, formally dressed, approached the protester, who was wrapped in a Palestinian flag. He let loose with a tirade reminiscent of a scene from the classic film Good Fellas. “You fucking piece of shit. Go back to Palestine. Fucking anti-American motherfucker. Go back to fucking Palestine. We don’t want you here,” he shouted.
It’s hard to determine if this individual is a current or retired first responder, but he appears to be middle-aged.
The confrontation continued as he mentioned a few prominent Democrats, including former President Obama, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Governor Kathy Hochul, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “And take fucking Obama,” he yelled. “Take fucking Mamdani with you. And AOC. And Hochul. Take ‘em all. They’re all no fucking good. You’re no fucking good. That’s right.”
Off-camera, someone could be heard saying, “Nice job, pal.” After this, the firefighter stepped away, as another voice yelled, “The Jews are committing a genocide.”
Reports suggest that frustration was boiling over among those attending the 9/11 memorial service just blocks away, according to a post by TPUSA.
Fox News Digital made an effort to identify the firefighter. The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) responded, saying, “We are aware of the video circulating of someone wearing a uniform having a verbal altercation today. This person appears to be from another fire department and is not and has never been a member of the FDNY.”
Friday marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which targeted the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and a hijacked airplane that crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers intervened.
All living former presidents attended the ceremony at Ground Zero, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, who represented President Trump’s administration and delivered the keynote speech at the Pentagon memorial.
Mamdani, Hochul, and Ocasio-Cortez were also present at the ceremony.
