First Debate: ‘Partisan hackery disguised as journalism’

The debate between former President Donald Trump and Kamala Harris has been hotly debated since it took place, but Megyn Kelly and Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” have some new insight into the ABC show.

This is especially true considering Kelly has previously moderated presidential debates.

“What I saw on Tuesday night was a horrible act of attempted journalism. It was fake journalism, it was partisan hacking masquerading as journalism,” Kelly told Rubin.

“And David Muir is a perfect example. His fact-checks were opinions,” she continues. “There were numerous times when he tried to fact-check Trump in totally inappropriate ways.”

Muir claimed he had attempted to “fact check” Trump's claims about Haitians eating pets in Springfield, Ohio, but “in speaking with the mayor, there was no verifiable claim.”

“This is not a fact check,” Kelly said. “This is not a rebuttal. This is he said, she said. And David Muir should not be the fact finder on the debate stage. If anything, it's what Kamala Harris is going to say.”

Rubin completely agrees.

“Maybe these people have gone so deep down the rabbit hole that they have nothing left to hide, but I think they'll at least try to pretend to be fair,” he told Kelly.

“They were just faking it,” a shaken Kelly said.
