Fitness influencer Kendall Toole addresses backlash after viral criticism of Peloton rider: 'We stand on business'

A video featuring fitness instructor Kendall Toole has re-emerged online, stirring quite a buzz across social media platforms. In this clip, she publicly reprimands participants during a cycling class, and many viewers have stated they’re inspired by her fierce attitude.

This incident took place during a Peloton live class in August 2023, where Toole confronted a rider who joined under the username “pedal-file.” Her response was rather intense: “Ban them. Ban them. We don’t do that here,” she exclaimed in frustration. “Oh, now I’m mad. Find out who that is and get them banned. We won’t do that. I’m not that person, baby. I don’t mean any disrespect.”

Now, several months later, the video has resurfaced on platforms like X, even catching the attention of Toole herself. A former Peloton instructor expressed pride in her stance, stating, “I’ve never been more proud to say this. We stand for business. Ban them.”

Viewers reacted with enthusiasm, saying they plan to use Toole’s assertive approach as motivation to counteract negativity in their own lives. Some claimed that the video provided them with purpose, whether for personal growth or professional situations.

“This is truly one of the best videos to grace the internet,” one fan remarked, reflecting the general excitement around the clip.

Kendall Toole, now 32 and originally from Texas, gained popularity as one of Peloton’s tough-love instructors. Beyond her commanding presence in the classroom, she’s been open about her struggles with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. In 2022, she revealed that she once contemplated suicide, stating, “I’ve been hiding my whole life… When we’re vulnerable, we can have a positive impact on people. That’s when we can make a difference.”

Although she left Peloton in 2024, Toole continues to offer classes in strength training, boxing, and cycling through her own platform, NKO Club.
