Fitness influencer 'Liver King' taken into custody for reportedly threatening Joe Rogan

Social Media Fitness Influencer Arrested

A fitness influencer known for his unusual eating habits faced arrest on Tuesday, according to law enforcement.

Brian Johnson, better recognized as “Liver King,” was apprehended by the Austin Police Department in a rather dramatic fashion, with footage of the event shared on his Instagram account. Reports indicate that police were alerted to a series of online threats made by Johnson towards someone named Logan, later learning he continued to visit Logan’s hometown in Austin.

Johnson’s online behavior seemingly took a turn when he appeared to challenge Joe Rogan, a well-known podcaster. In one Instagram video, he is seen holding what looks like two golden firearms and stated, “Joe Rogan, I’m going to call you,” further taunting Logan about facing him in a fight.

Upon being contacted, Logan informed the detective that he found Johnson’s posts threatening, even though they had not interacted beforehand. Consequently, police secured a warrant for Johnson’s arrest, leading to his capture at a nearby Four Seasons hotel.

While handcuffed and surrounded by law enforcement, Johnson filmed a video that he later uploaded to his Instagram account.

With 2.9 million followers, Johnson often shares content about his so-called “ancestral lifestyle,” focusing heavily on a diet that includes raw meat. His past interactions have involved discussions around steroid use, which he initially denied but later apologized for on Rogan’s podcast.

Johnson is now facing charges of making a terrorist threat and has been booked into the Travis County Jail. As of now, responses from representatives for both Rogan and Johnson have not been received.
