Flight rerouted after unusual passengers attempt to eat and flush passports

Suspicious Passengers Cause Emergency Landing

A Ryanair flight traveling from Milan to London had to make an emergency landing after several passengers displayed bizarre behavior and attempted to dispose of their passports ina strange manner.

“No one really understood what was happening,” an anonymous witness, back from a trip with friends, told a local outlet. “It was during the flight, maybe 15 or 20 minutes in, when things got really unusual.” The witness mentioned that, after the seatbelt sign was turned off, the situation took a turn.

According to other travelers, one man started tearing pages from his passport and even tried to eat them while his companion joked about dropping the passport into the airplane toilet.

A flight attendant reportedly tried to reason with one of the individuals, asking him to comply, but he refused, which led to heightened anxiety among the passengers. “The announcement made by the stewardess was surprisingly blunt,” the witness commented. “It definitely caught everyone’s attention.”

Ultimately, the pilot opted to reroute the flight to Paris. The descent was described as “the most terrifying 15 minutes” for those onboard. Upon landing, French authorities entered the aircraft to detain the two men and conduct thorough searches of their belongings.

The entire situation took around two hours to resolve, after which the flight was cleared to continue to London Stansted Airport.

Travelers commended the Ryanair crew for their handling of such a stressful incident. One passenger noted, “I think Ryanair did a commendable job under the circumstances. After everything settled down, they even offered drinks as we neared Stansted.”

Why the passengers acted in such a chaotic way remains a mystery, and Ryanair has been contacted for further comments.
