A high-speed bride gets caught up in bodycam footage “Race to the Altar” while her rushing driver was flying on the Florida highway to take his wife to her wedding.
The bride and her Dapper wedding guests told officers they were running late to the ceremony when they were arrested by an unmarked police car traveling at 105 mph on the Crosstown Parkway in Port St. Lucie on Friday afternoon. According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
“Whose wedding is it?” According to footage shared by police on social media, officers asked the duo while approaching the grey Tesla.
“It’s mine,” said the bride, sitting in the passenger seat. According to the video, the driver was wearing a black vest and a white collared shirt.
The woman told officers she was supposed to tie the knot at 2:30pm at Stuart, but it stopped a few minutes later at 2:42pm, footage showed.
“You’re already late,” the officer told the delayed bride.
Police issued a forced court date to drivers for speeding, allowing the pair to move together so that the bride becomes a brood.
“This stop gives a whole new meaning to the race to the altar,” police wrote in a Facebook post.
“It’s not the best way to start a wedding.”
