A waitress at a Hooters in Florida apparently tried to cheat her way out of a drunk driving stop, but police officers weren't fooled.
Moreover, the whole story was captured by the police. body cam videoreleased this week. The traffic stop took place just before 2 a.m. on Nov. 17.
“I can't keep my hands off you.”
Sarasota Police Department officers pulled over 22-year-old Sophia Ross.
“Off. Knight and I arrived on scene and observed the vehicle described stopped in the right turn lane heading eastbound on 2nd Avenue,” the police report states. law and crimenoted that officers blocked the driver from entering. “As we stopped with our overhead lights on, the driver, who had appeared to be asleep, woke up and began driving towards us. It stopped.”
According to the arrest report, witnesses claimed they noticed the suspect's car stopped at a green light, hit multiple curbs, hit a median, and drove in the wrong direction on two separate occasions.
Officers said Ross smelled of alcohol, was off-balance, had slurred speech, was slow and appeared “lethargic.”

“I was under the influence, but I didn't drive, I swear to God,” Ross admitted on police body camera video.
She repeatedly denied driving and claimed a friend drove her. However, the officer said the car was running and the woman needed the officer's help to park the car after she stopped it.
Ross told officers he finished work at a local Hooters store and then went to a bar.
She pulled up her sweatshirt to reveal the Hooters tank top she was wearing underneath.
Ross insisted on going to the bathroom throughout the officer's questioning.
Ross continued to call the officer “baby” and “daddy.”
“Will you give me a ride home? i want you. '
Ross was heard telling a second officer that he was going to “make up” with the arresting officer.
Ross said: “Why are you doing this to me? You know I'm drunk.”
“I'm drunk,” she admitted.
After refusing several field sobriety tests, she apparently attempted to cheat to get out of the field sobriety tests.
“I would do anything for my dad,” she said. You in that suit, I'd do anything for you. sorry. “
“That's fine,” he replied.
She said of the uniformed police officer, “Put on that damn suit, bro!”
“I can't keep my hands off you,” she said, to which the officer replied, “Unfortunately, I have to.”
When the officer instructed her to take a field sobriety test, she responded, “Say whatever you want, Daddy, whatever you want, Daddy.”
“You're going to take me home, right? I want you. You're going to take me home,” she told the officer.
After the apparent flirtation proved futile, Ross called the officer a “nerd.”
She told the officer, “Bro, stop being such a big nerd, bro.”
The officer warned the woman that the body camera video was available for viewing by the public: “Everything we do is recorded and available for everyone to see. Mom, dad, grandma, family.” .
She angrily replied, “You think I'm going to have sex?”
Ross was arrested and willingly volunteered to be handcuffed.
WTVT A breath sample showed Ross' blood alcohol level was 0.318, more than three times the legal limit.
Ross was charged with driving under the influence. Her bond was set at $500. Law & Crime said records show she has pleaded not guilty and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for Thursday.
