A Florida elderly man was arrested after he allegedly lassoed a nine-foot alligator, tied it to a railing and ran away, authorities said.

According to sheriff’s deputies, the suspect is accused of using nylon rope to bind the alligator’s upper jaw and then tying it to a canal railing in his hometown of Cape Canaveral.
Collin strangely contacted police at about 7:30 a.m. to report finding the tied-up reptile before fleeing the scene, police said.
But security footage from a nearby building operated by SpaceX showed Collin creating a nylon noose and capturing the alligator, authorities said.
Collin was arrested at his home and charged the same day with unlawful killing, possession and taking of an alligator.
